Getting Around Alicante

Castillo de Santa Bárbara is perched on top of Mount Benacantil (166 metres high), and is one of Spain’s largest mediaeval fortresses, with a sweeping view of the bay.
You have 3 options on how to get to the top.
- Walk up (hike uphill – about an hour)
- spend €2.40 and ride the elevator (Ascensor al Castillo de Santa Bárbara)
- spend €1.45 and ride the shuttle bus to the top.

Alicante Airport
Alicante Airport (ALC), aka Alicante-Elche Airport, is the 5th largest airport in Spain. It is the gateway to the Costa Blanca region; serves Valencia Community and the Region of Murcia.
Alicante Train Station
The main railway station is also known as the RENFE station. It is conveniently located in the center of town connecing it to local public transit services including the C6 bus that connects to the airport.
