Finding your Bus at the Alicante Airport
When you arrive at Alicante airport for the first time and try to figure out how to get a bus to Alicante , Benidorm, Calpe , Elche, Murcia or other cities around the Costa Blanca, the bus stop area at the airport can be quite confusing.
The BUS parking area just outside of the lower floor -2 is for charter Buses and tour operator buses only.
Outside Departure Area ( Level 2 ) in the UPPER Level of the Airport is where you will find the Bus Stops for local area buses (from Alsa, Subus, Costa Azul – Quickair, Baile) to Alicante, Benidorm, Denia, Santa Pola, Torrevieja, Murcia and Elche are located at the very end of the terminal building at departure level.
How to get from Alicante airport to the city centre by public transport
Alicante Airport has an “Airport to Alicante City Centre” public transport bus line called ”Line C-6 Autobús Aeropuerto” in Spanish. Line C-6, is the only public transport connecting Alicante Airport to the city centre. The bus departs every 30 minutes and operates 24-hours a day 365-days a year. The total trip to the central Luceros station takes around 25 minutes.
The bus stop for the C6 bus line is located on the second floor, right outside the main building, on your left hand side as you exit the airport.
The price for a regular one way ticket is €3.85. However, if you are a frequent travel to and from the Alicante Airport, you can also purchase a “Bono Bus 10 Trips” for €12 (plus €2 for the plastic card) making each way only €1.20 which is quite a saving!

How to get to Alicante City Center by taxi
This is the fastest way to reach the city center – approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic.
Due to the number of tourists visiting the city of Alicante every year, Alicante airport is host to numerous taxi service operators. All licensed Alicante airport taxis must be white and carry the distinctive black and yellow taxi rooftop sign.
The average taxi fare for a regular 4 passenger taxi from the airport to the city centre of Alicante is €21. The price is calculated by adding up the initial airport fare of €4.25 and further €1/km for the remainder of your journey. The price can further be affected by the amount of luggage you carry and time of the day. Private taxi operators usually offer fixed prices to the city centre of Alicante.
There are 2 taxi stands at Alicante airport. One is located on the ground floor, right outside the Arrivals terminal. The second taxi stand is located on the second floor outside the main building.
If you are arriving very late at night or very early in the morning, a taxi will be your best option.
